Ferry terminal plans include new duty-free shop

Plans have been submitted for a new duty-free at Elizabeth Terminal.

Ports of Jersey wants to move the four current retail cabins to create one unit that will house a Duty-Free shop.

Its plans also include extending the use of the 2 Riders' Retreat Cabins - for cyclists and bikers - for another 10 years.

A multi-million pound redevelopment of the terminal was approved in 2024, which will demolish the existing Elizabeth terminal and creating a new, modern one.

There's also due to be a new inspection area for Customs, a larger area for handling incoming freight, and a Lo-Lo (lift on lift-off) facility.
