Spectators will line St Aubin's Bay for the 2026 Jersey International Air Display returns.
The roar and hum of aircraft will be ringing out across St Helier later, as the island's annual air show gets underway.
The forecast is for a cloudy with light winds and some brighter spells, and just the chance of some light rain.
Schools are closed, and thousands of people are expected to find a vantage point for some plane-spotting.
The line-up includes appearances from the Hurricane Hawker, Navy Wings Fairey Swordfish and Boeing B17 Flying Fortress.
The Catalina will be flown by 77 year old Jersey born pilot John Harmsworth:
"It's a big outing for the whole island.
"I will be flying the whole length of the bay several times, so everybody - no matter what end you are - will have a jolly good view of the aeroplane."
The display is due to begin at 1pm, and the Red Arrows are expected to close the show from 4.30pm. That is despite the iconic RAF display team pulling of last night's Guernsey Air Display at short notice because the jets could not spend the night away from their base.

Victoria Avenue will be closed to through traffic from Bel Royal to West Park between midday and around 6pm.
La Rue de Galet, Farleys Lane, Paris Lane, and Tyneville Lane will be access to premises only.
Vehicles wishing to park on Victoria Avenue may access Spur Road only between 12:00 and 12:50pm.
The Esplanade will be closed and there is restricted viewing areas include the beach between La Fregate Café and St Aubin's Harbour, designated exclusion zones on the water.
Organisers are encouraging spectators to buy a programme, or make donation, to ensure the future of the event, which is considered a major draw for visitors and a post-summer boost to the economy.
The show is also being live-streamed online by PlanesTV.
