The speed limit on 22 roads in St Peter are being reduced this week, with eight more stretches of the parish becoming 20mph zones.
The speed limit signs are being are being updated today (21 August) following a review by the Roads Committee and parish officials.
Mont Fallu and old Beaumont Hill (Le Vieux Beaumont) become 30 zones instead of 40.
The 20 limit along La Grande Route de St Pierre is being extended north through the village to just past the Philadelphie Methodist Church. Rue du Bocage also becomes a 20mph zone.
Additionally, two more Green Lanes have been created, with Rue des Sapins and Rue du Vieux Presbytere becoming 15mph.
The lower limits are part of efforts to make all road users feel safer, encourage active travel and improve safety for children travelling to and from school.

Reduced from 40mph to 30mph:
- La Rue de la Commune,
- La Rue des Landes – from around 80m south of the junction with La Rue des Sauvalleries. southwards to the junction with La Route du Francfief and La Route du Coin,
- La Rue des Lauriers,
- La Rue des Nièmes,
- La Rue des Sauvalleries,
- La Rue des Vignes – from around 140m south of the junction with La Rue Cappelain to the junction with Le Mont des Vignes and Le Mont du Coin,
- La Rue du Saut Falluet,
- La Ruelle ès Ruaux,
- Le Mont des Vignes,
- Le Mont du Jubilé – extending the 30mph on La Rue de l’Église westwards by around 50m.
- Le Mont Fallu,
- Le Vieux Beaumont.
Reduced from 40mph to 20mph:
- La Petite Rue de l'Église,
- La Rue Fondon,
- La Route du Manoir,
- La Rue Cappelain,
- La Rue des Landes - from the junction with L’Avenue de la Reine Elizabeth II to around 80m south of the junction with La Rue des Sauvalleries,
- La Rue des Vignes – from the junction with L’Avenue de la Reine Elizabeth II to around 140m south of the junction with La Rue Cappelain.
Reduced from 30mph to 20mph:
