A consultation opens today into changes that have been made to the main road outside Trinity school.
Temporary pavements have been built on La Route de la Trinite, narrowing the road to one lane in two places outside the parish primary, to make traffic slow down.
A part-time 20 mile an hour speed limit has been replaced with a full time 20mph restriction.
We're told the measures are to improve safety for pedestrians and children and those waiting for a bus.
The changes were made during the school summer holidays and will be in place until next August.
Drivers can no longer turn right from Trinity main road into Les Ruelles.
Infrastructure Minister Andy Jehan says it is a trial scheme and he will be reviewing the feedback, which can be given by emailing dfi@gov.je.
“ All comments will be valuable in shaping a permanent scheme.
“I have been working closely with the Constable of Trinity and with the Trinity School community to ensure the scheme benefits parents and children.
“This is first and foremost a trial, the success of which depends on the outcome of the consultation. I look forward to reviewing the feedback.”
