There will be a States vote on more protection for cats hit by cars.
Deputy Jeremy Macon is seeking support for demanding that Ministers look at ways of making motorists report to police if they hit and injure a cat.
It's after 5,000 people signed an e-petition.

The wording of the proposition that will be debated is:
THE STATES are asked to decide whether they are of opinion:
to request the Ministers for Infrastructure and the Environment to consult on how cats could be given additional protection under either the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956, Highway Code or Animal Welfare (Jersey) Law 2004, in order to ensure that drivers involved in accidents in which cats are injured are required to contact the police.
The first petition to reach 5,000 signatures - calling for rent caps - was discussed in the States on Tuesday, but without a formal proposal requiring a vote.
It was tabled for what is called in-committee consideration.
