Car Hits Colomberie Restaurant

Emergency services have been at the scene of an accident at La Colomberie.

Police, fire and ambulance were called to the junction with Francis Street just after 9am.

A car had crashed into the Pizza Famosa building.

Contrary to early eye-witnesses reports Channel 103 received, police tell us no pedestrians were involved.

Motorists were asked to avoid the area and traffic was diverted.

Police say the Black VW Touareg failed to make the corner.

A man in his 70s has been taken to hospital. His condition is not known.

No one else was injured.
