Businesses in Jersey are being offered more support to train staff.
The government-backed Better Business Skills Grant will now give firms up to 80% of the costs.
It has previously been a 50/50 match-funding offer.
Employers with existing applications for 2026 will automatically benefit from the higher contribution.
Last year, 54 local businesses received Skills Grants totalling £311, 210.
The grants support a range of training, including leadership, management, professional and technical skills.
The new 80/20 split means businesses are required to contribute just 20% of the cost.
Organisations can apply for up to two Skills Grants per year.
Jennie Smith, Head of Business Support at Jersey Business, said:
“Skills are critical to productivity and long-term business success.
"Increasing the level of support available through the Skills Grant makes it easier for businesses to invest in their people and build the capability they need to grow.”
The Better Business Support package is a £20m government drive to help employers with the transition to a living wage.
£5.3 million was allocated to the Better Business Grant scheme in 2025 and 2026 to improve productivity, invest in staff training and support apprenticeships and grow the visitor economy.
