Traffic is expected to start moving slowly through the tunnel again, after a road accident caused significant queues through town.
Emergency services attended a single-vehicle crash at Green Street roundabout this afternoon.
Ambulance crews are treating two passengers, whose injuries aren't believed to be serious.
No other vehicles or pedestrians were involved.
The vehicle has been removed, and the road has re opened.
