Jersey Police are looking for the driver of a green car that hit a Jack Russell outside Morrisons in St Aubin on Sunday 27 March.
Rosebud ran out from between two parked cars and was hit at around 9:50am. Sadly she didn't survive.
She had run away from her owner and off the beach whilst out on a walk.
The driver of the car - described as a green VW people carrier - did stop and try to look for the dog who had run away, but they left the area before giving the dog owner their details or calling the police.
The dog was struck by a green car outside Morrisons in St Aubin's village.
Officers want to get more details from the driver.
Anyone who saw the incident or has any information is asked to call police on 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
