More than 700 grants have been given to Jersey households to switch to Low Carbon Heating, with more money available in 2026.
Since May 2023, islanders have been given government incentives towards the cost of switching away from oil or gas fuelled heating systems.
The grants have totalled more than £3.5 million.
The heat pumps and electric flow boilers installed as a result have saved an estimated 2,600 CO2 equivalent*.
The incentive offers up to £9,000 for heat pump installations and £4,000 for electric flow boilers, while households on a low income can get up £15,000.
Jersey's government says the benefits including reducing emissions, improving energy efficiency and saving money.
Of the 709 applications, 134 have been for air source heat pumps, 504 for electric flow boilers and 71 for direct acting heating systems.
The split of the fossil fuel systems they have replaced has been 380 oil, 328 gas and one solid-fuel (wood/coal) system.
Environment Minister Deputy Steve Luce is encouraging people to look at the options:
"Every home is unique, and so is the perfect heating solution. Low-carbon systems can be tailored to your property so you can enjoy warmth and comfort built around your needs."
*This figure is based on typical household energy use before and after installation, using Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) data.
