11 health professionals join Health and Care Partnership Board

Eleven professionals have been appointed to Jersey's Health and Care Partnership Board, which has been set up to improve islanders' wellbeing.

The board was set up to bring together government and non-government health providers to plan how to improve local care.

A recruitment process was launched to find professionals with extensive experience and understanding of the local system who could bring their insight to the new collaborative approach.

The members represent a variety of health sectors, including community nursing, pharmacy and dental services and home care.

Community Nursing  - Claire White (Family Nursing & Home Care)

Community Pharmacy - Nima Rad (Pharmacist)

Home Care - James Yetman (Island Home Care)

Care Homes  - Sarah Evans (Orthoptist)

Community Dental - Sarah Pollard (Dentist)

Allied Health Professionals (Occupational Therapy) - Louise Hotton

General Practice - Dr Nigel Minihane

Third sector  - Donna Abel (Jersey Cheshire Home)

End of Life Care - Aisling Adams (Jersey Hospice Care)

Occupational Health - Dr Chris Edmond (WorkHealth Jersey)

Clinical Psychology - Dr Alessio Agostinis 

They join the previously-announced Chair and Vice Chair, Rosemarie Finley (Family Nursing and Home Care) and Matt Johnson (LV Pharmacy).

 Community Partners will attend four half-day board meetings and take part in working groups.  The role description said the annual commitment is 14 days, paid at £200 per day.
