The Sarah Groves murder trial recommenced yesterday.
The Sarah Groves murder trial recommenced yesterday. It's the first scheduled hearing under the newly appointed judge, Vijay Singh Manhas and the new prosecuter, who hasn't been named.
Although it's not known why the judge and prosecuter have been replaced, its been suggested it could be an anti-corruption measure or as a response to the criticisms of how the case has been run.
Immediate removal of all prosecuters meant that the trial couldn't begin yesterday. The accused, Richard de Wit wasn't brought to court.
Efforts are being made to locate the main witness in the case, taxi driver Mr Ashok Singh, whose whereabouts have been unknown since his first appearance at court in March 2014.
