There will be an additional independent review into the failing of the IT systems alongside the internal investigation.
The States website went offline in November 2022 when the servers overheated.
Problems persisted into December and the IT systems broke down again in January this year.
The outages made several services inaccessible.
Policy & Resources committee president Deputy Peter Ferbrache says although an internal investigation has been launched by the States, several deputies asked for an additional independent review.
He says the findings of both will be made public:
"It is important to give the community confidence that the issues have been identified and are being addressed.
PWC has been appointed to provide this independent assessment which will be shared with the public alongside the internal reviews findings when they are complete.
In the meantime, work has continued to improve the resilience of the States’ main websites and other IT systems, this includes migrating gov.gg and other sites to new data centres which was completed last week."
