Hundreds of islanders were treated to a glimpse of Father Christmas, as he arrived at the Bridge by fire engine to switch on the Christmas lights.
Santa Claus had been granted special permission by Dr Nicola Brink to come to Guernsey and spread some festive cheer to the Bailiwick, along with some of his elves and helpers.
He made sure to greet all the children who went to see him, and even collected their Christmas lists to take back to the North Pole.
