Red List Travellers Urged To Take PCR

Anyone who has been in one of the six Red List countries in the past fortnight is being asked to arrange a PCR test and isolate.

Last night, the UK added six countries in southern Africa to the list because a new strain of Covid-19 has been identified there.

From 4am on Sunday 28 November, all travellers coming from South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zimbabwe and Namibia must complete isolation in the UK before continuing to the Bailiwick.

Once their UK isolation period ends, they will be treated as 'Blue travellers'.

Any arrivals who travel directly to the Bailiwick must take a Day 1 PCR test and then isolate until a negative result from a Day 9 PCR test. Children under 12 won't need to be tested but must isolate.

Before the Red List changes come into effect on Sunday, travellers arriving through the UK should follow the same rules.
