
Police are searching for an 11 year old boy whose been missing in Guernsey since Tuesday morning.
Destin Almonte was last seen near Castel Church at around 11am on 24 June.
It is believed he was wearing a lime green Amherst School top with the word Havelet across the back.
He has a black and red rucksack with him, and he was riding a grey mountain bike with blue handlebars.
Anyone who has seen him or knows his whereabouts is asked to report it.
A post on Bailiwick Law Enforcement's social media has been shared hundreds of times and islanders were out looking for the missing boy yesterday evening and overnight.
Replying to comments on the post in the early hours of this morning, his mum Syrena thanked people for their help:
"If anyone has any new information please contact the police straight away. Thank you for all the direct messages and comments ive been sent from people with info as it helps a lot I'm still out looking for him now so are the police and even taxis are keeping an eye out. Hopefully he turns up soon as it's getting really late."
In an updated post at 11am on Wednesday, Police said the search is ongoing and they are targeting locations they believe Destin may have gone to.
"We have also received several unconfirmed sightings of his location and are looking to confirm those as quickly as possible.
It is very encouraging to see the level of willingness from the community to help in this search, however we cannot yet provide any more detail. We would urge anyone with information to contact police headquarters immediately on 01481 222 222."
