For a fifth year, hundreds of islanders have trekked 5km (3 miles) at the break of dawn to support a mental health charity's ongoing work.
More than 700 people (and 20 dogs) set off from Vale Castle at 4am on Sunday (22 June) and walked to La Vallette.
Guernsey Mind's Sunrise Walk of Hope is an annual event that aims to raise awareness of suicide prevention and raise funds for the charity.
Organisers say the walk has been a game changer, encouraging the community to discuss the subject of suicide.
Members of the men’s group Odyssey walked the route barefoot.
Guernsey Mind Chief Executive Jo Cottell says the walk 'is a testament to the strength and resilience of our community'.
"Many participants walk in memory of loved ones, wearing signs on their shirts.
"The atmosphere is one of compassion, solidarity and support, reminding us that no one has to walk alone in their journey.”
Although the sunrise was covered by clouds, the sun did break through at the Bathing Pools finish line, where many walkers took the opportunity to have an early morning swim.
