Jersey Retains Siam Cup

Jersey have retained rugby's Siam Cup, with a 14-13 victory over Guernsey at Footes Lane.

It was the centenary year of the historic inter-insular.

The two sides met on Saturday (6 November) for the first time since 2019 to battle it out for the second-oldest contested rugby trophy after the Calcutta Cup.

Jersey's coach Myles Landick was delighted to be taking the silverware home.

The Jersey Reds clubhouse was packed with supporters cheering on their island.

Guernsey won the Ladies and Veterans titles,  beating Jersey 46-7 and 55-19 respectively.
