Preparations for the June 2025 general election continue with the opening of the electoral roll.
Guernsey's electoral roll opens from today, 2 December, until 30 April.
All islanders must complete registration to be eligible to vote.
Colete Falla is Registrar General of Electors for the 18 June 2025 election. She says they want as many people as possible to sign up, to ensure a good turnout:
"Everyone in our island has a voice and voting is one of the most powerful ways to have your say about how the island is run. It is a pillar of any democracy so I would urge people to register.
The quickest way to register is online, with a simple form that will take only a few minutes to complete and submit electronically. You’ll then receive an email to confirm receipt. I would encourage people to use this method if possible."

Guernsey's current system means that people registered will be able to vote for up to 38 candidates.
Paper copies of the enrollment form will be posted to homes this week.
There is an online resource to order extra forms, apply for a postal vote, find out about the election and the role of deputy.
