Guernsey Firefighters to collect Christmas trees for charity

Guernsey Fire Service are doing their Christmas tree collection again this year to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity.

Volunteers from the Fire Service will be collecting used Christmas trees again this year to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity.

Firefighters will be using their own vehicles to carry out the collections in their own time, while off duty, until 9 January 2026.

They are hoping to top last year's collection, which was the biggest yet.

You can book through:

Islanders will need to share their preferred date of collection, contact details, and address.

Crew Commander, Charlie Rogers, says the money raised goes to a great cause:

"The Fire Fighters Charity is national, not just for firefighters but anyone in a fire service role - control room operators and support staff - and their families, partners, or dependents.

"It's looking at physical and mental well-being as well as rehabilitation.

"In 2023, we managed £2,300; last year, we doubled that to just shy of £5,000, which was 450 trees in a week.

"It's just for a donation, so whatever anyone can spare will help massively."

Donations can be made by cheque (payable to FFC), cash or QR code.
