Policy and Resources is asked to formally write to the British government over the deepening humanitarian crisis.
A group of 12 Guernsey deputies, along with the support of at least eight others, have signed a letter to P&R asking the committee to act over Gaza.
The letter comes from new deputy David Dorrity, who says after Jersey wrote to the British government, Guernsey should do the same:
"This is off the back of a letter sent last week by Jersey's Chief Minister, Lyndon Farnham, to David Lammy, the UK Foreign Secretary and we wanted to add our voice to that."
The letter, which runs to two pages, outlines the plight of Palestinians in Gaza who are homeless and now starving.
It says: 'Guernsey has a proud history of standing up for humanitarian values, especially in times of profound injustice. While we may not have direct responsibility for foreign policy, we do have a moral voice.'
The letter asks for an immediate and enduring ceasefire, full access for aid and the recognition of Palestine as an independent state.
"I just felt that this was something that was urgent and couldn't wait so I said I'll be circulating this to the other deputies.
"I understand that it is on today's P&R meeting agenda."
