Former Blue Islands plane will enhance Aurigny's regional fleet.
A former Blue Islands plane has flown back to Guernsey today (19 March) to join Aurigny's fleet.
The ATR 72-600 has been repainted white and is due in service with Aurigny soon.
Two of Aurigny's leased ATRs are white with red tails.
The plane, G-ISLP, left Guernsey for the overhaul just under two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, a second Blue Islands aircraft, this time an ATR 72-500, has been put on the Guernsey 2 REG.
This enabled it to make the journey from Europe to Australia, where it has been leased by another operator.
Aurigny decided to adopt the ATR 72 as its regional carrier in 2024.
Aurigny's chief commercial officer, Philip Saunders, says this is good news for Guernsey.
"We are delighted to welcome Lima Papa back to the island and into our fleet.
"This is the sixth ATR in our fleet and underlines our commitment to have the aircraft required to provide ever more reliable and robust service and deliver year-round capacity to support our growth, most notably in recent months between Guernsey and Jersey, as well as to/from Southampton.
"This is an exciting moment for everyone at Aurigny."
