Channel Islands Co-Op is buying seven pharmacies in Guernsey and Jersey from UK company Lloyds.
The sites being taken over are:
- The Parade, Jersey
- Red Houses, Jersey
- Les Quennevais, Jersey
- Gorey Village, Jersey
- St Sampson's, Guernsey
- L'Aumone, Guernsey
- Longfrie, Guernsey
The Co-op says all employees who work at the sites under Lloyds will be kept on.
CEO Mark Cox says it's a 'unique opportunity' for the retail company.
"We look forward to welcoming new and existing members and customers to our expanded pharmacy network and are thrilled to welcome their team into the Channel Islands Coop family."
The move still needs approval from the competition watchdogs in both Guernsey and Jersey, but CI Co-op says it hopes for the sale to be completed by the end of October.
