Maintenance work has finished, allowing the public to access the lighthouse walkway once again.
The Guernsey Ports’ Technical Services Team have finished replacing long lines of electric cable which run from the top of Havelet Slipway to the lighthouse.
Replacing the 300 metres of cable, which supplies power to the lighthouse, took three weeks.
The work was necessary as the original cables from the 1960s were no longer serviceable.
The W Pontoon in the Albert Marina has been replaced too, allowing boat owners to return to their moorings there.

Guernsey Ports says it is grateful for the public's patience during the works but warns that the area around the Bulldog building (the square building adjacent to the entrance to the Castle) is still fenced off.
