C5 Alliance is to provide the IT support for Guernsey's States as part of the move to a multi-vendor approach to government services, rather than the former single supplier.
The States terminated their contract with Agilisys four years early, for 'reasons relating to Agilisys' performance of the contract."
In August, a new IT support contract for the States' 5,500 staff will begin with the on-island provider, C5 Alliance.
It will cost around £750,000 each year.
The initial contract is for two years with an option to extend for a further two years.
C5 aims to make the support process easier and also enable staff to 'self serve' to an extent and find solutions to IT issues.
Gé Drossaert, States Chief Digital and Information Officer, is happy with the choice:
"I am particularly pleased that we have been able to appoint an on-island provider who invests in Guernsey.
"The main driver with any change is a tangible improvement, one that is felt by our staff who rely on the IT help desk. We aim to keep on improving."
C5's MD, Chris Ash, says they are delighted to have won the contract:
