The GSPCA says it's been inundated by fledglings this spring.
Shelter Manager Steve Byrne says islanders are bringing in baby birds daily.
He says this is typical for springtime, as fledglings learn to fly, and concerned islanders find them on the ground.
Steve says they should be left in the wild unless they are visually sick or injured - as their intensive care unit is reaching capacity.
"We are getting a few dozen each week at the moment, but that is increasing every day.
We could be seeing easily start seeing three figures in a week of birds needing our help.
Their parents will teach them the skills they need to survive - to find food and avoid predators.
Bringing them into captivity, it is a lot harder for us to teach them those skills, but we do our best."
There are currently finches, pigeons and ducklings in the GSPCA's care.
The shelter dealt with more than 2,500 wild birds last year.
