A split vote for a committee chair role resulted in two names going into a hat and the president pulling out the eventual winner.
Lin Maurice has been appointed chair of the General Services Committee after the odd situation involving a hat, two names and a president.
William Tate also had to use his casting vote to appoint a vice president after a split ballot. Ian Carter has been appointed to that position, a non political role.
The two Alderney representatives in Guernsey's States remain as Steve Roberts and Alex Snowdon, the latter also chairs the Economic Development Committee.
